Tip of the iceberg…
I am delighted to mention 2 incidents which
- A communication from the
Ministers office, which reads in part:- “The Government of Canada acknowledges that there is a need to ensure that immigration and citizenship consultants operate in a professional and ethical
manner, and that public confidence and program integrity are maintained. - ………….. The Department continues to closely analyze the report, including options for how immigration and citizenship consultants are regulated, in order to determine how best to move forward.

- My Telephonic meeting with Director of Professional Conduct, ICCRC regarding this report. The meeting lasted for a little over an hour and it was refreshing to know that there are people in ICCRC who think that customer service and good regulation goes a long way to improve this profession even though I believe ICCRC is far away from achieving it. It has been almost 8 wasted years of little done for the growth of this profession. Because most people associated with ICCRC are agent-based consultants or consultants who do not invest in this profession, lack of understanding and challenges reign supreme which has moved the profession backward.
